FO Tina Tank
OK She's done! The Tina Tank! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!
I bought this yarn in Key West when were were on a cruise in 2006. The colors reminded me of the conch shells.
Pattern: Tina Tank from Berroco
Size: 38" bust
Needles: Size 8 Knit Picks
Yarn: Berroco Cotton Twist Morandi Mix
Mods.. I started out with the 40 inch size and decreased to the 38” so that the bottom would be a little more swingy. I knit it a little longer-I could have gone an extra inch or so more I think.(but at first I was worried about running out of yarn) I knit a whole extras set of 8 rows on the top portion before starting the arm holes. I wish I would have gone about 4-8 more. but the line falls in about the same spot on the model as it does on me, so I guess it’s OK.
The yarn is very pretty but I found it a pain to work with. It was very splitty. I doubt I'll use it again.
I wanted to do the neckline differently-crocheted,
but after 2 attempts at that and one trying to do a K2 P1 ribbing
I gave up and just did the neckline from the pattern, and wouldn't you know it; it came out nicely!
Ugh! So it was sitting for like 3 weeks waiting on the neck to be done! I’m debating on crocheting around the arm holes but I think I’m going to leave it for now.
